Philosophy

  • Developing countries suffer from ever increasing external debt that doesn’t allow them to invest in basic social services.

  • Mining companies contaminate the environment without consequences.

  • The people don’t know their rights, therefore are unable to claim them.

In the midst of unstoppable globalization, with the gap between the rich and the poor ever increasing throughout the world - What can we do?

We can JOIN HANDS AGAINST POVERTY.

Globalization for a Just World

We know that to achieve a more just world, we need to work in solidarity with groups from the North (USA and Europe) and the South (Latin America, Africa and Asia).

Our network has ties with groups throughout the US and with seven other Joining Hands Networks, working in their own contexts: Bolivia, South Africa, Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, India and Bangladesh.

By working in solidarity and tangible actions, we can not only address the symptoms of poverty, but achieve lasting changes.
